The Lygon Arms is a small family run hotel well known for its friendly atmosphere and traditional English food offering accommodation, restaurants and public bar. Originally a 16th Century Cotswold coaching inn, the Lygon Arms is situated in the beautiful high street of Chipping Campden.

The Courtyard rooms have been rebuilt from the Stone & Materials of the old barns & Blacksmiths Forge which originally stood in the courtyard of this old Coaching Inn.The building have been carefully designed to create a traditional Cotswold style, with the bedrooms complementing the exterior. We have four Courtyard rooms, each has either King Size Beds or Twin Beds, Settee, Mini Fridge with Complementary Fruit & Mineral Water, Large Digital Television, DVD Player, Iron, Direct Dial Telephone & High Speed Broadband Internet Connection. Deluxe En Suite Bathrooms with either Jacuzzi Bath or Jacuzzi Steam Shower, plus Heated Towel Rail, Hair Dryer & Under Floor Heating.Two of these rooms may interconnect making one ideal Family room for 4 or 5.

Superior and Standard Rooms:

Our rooms have been refurbished in a Traditional Country Style with Special attention to keeping the character of the old building. Each room has been individually designed and includes many contemporary fittings for guest comfort. Traditional beams and original Cotswold stone feature in most rooms creating stylish, comfortable accommodation with a traditional feel.

Superior Double / Twin / Triple:

These rooms are in the main building of the hotel, most of them with views of the Historic High Street, with large windows & window seats.The superior room has King Size or Twin Beds, Television, Hospitality Tray, Mini Fridge with Complementary Fresh Fruit & Mineral Water, Direct Dial Telephone & Separate High Speed Broadband Internet Connection, Ironing Board with Iron.The En Suite bathrooms are a good size & have Bath & Shower also a Heated Towel Rail & Hairdryer

Standard Double Room:

These rooms have all the facilities of the Superior rooms but with Double bed rather than King Size bed and are not as large as the Superior rooms.The En Suite bathroom has a Bath & Shower, also a Hair Dryer

Breakfast:

Breakfast is served in our first floor restaurant ‘Bits & pieces’ between 8.00am & 10.00 am, originally the Hayloft for the Stables below. We offer a range of cereals, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt & Juices followed by a choice of either a English Breakfast’ using locally produced Sausages, Eggs & Bacon or Smoked Salmon, Eggs, Kippers or Home Boiled Ham

Dining:

Our menu is available in two separate dining areas - Our Lounge Bar situated just off the main arch way offers a cozy, lively and friendly atmosphere and is popular with locals and tourists alike. Whilst our separate non smoking Dining Room overlooks the beautiful High Street and is full of charm. Children are welcome in all of our dining areas and during the summer months outside seating in our picturesque cobbled Courtyard is extremely popular.

Our extensive British style menu is designed to reflect the abundance of local food producers. The lamb and beef offered on our menu is produced on our own farm, complemented by vegetables from the famous Vale of Evesham and from the Cotswold Hills. Throughout the year special menus are designed to celebrate a new season food from local suppliers.

Chipping Campden is well placed for touring the surrounding Cotswold villages, Stratford on Avon and Shakespeare Country. For lovers of walking and the scenic countryside the Cotswold Way and Heart of England walks are close to the town. Other nearby attractions include Hidcote Manor National Trust gardens (4 miles), Malvern Hills, Warwick Castle and the Spa town of Cheltenham (20 miles) with its famous race course. Also within easy reach is the National Agricultural Centre at Stoneleigh (17 miles) and the National Exhibition Centre (25 miles).
