Damson Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in the historic village of Nether Stowey. Nestled at the foothills of the gorgeous Quantocks near Bridgwater, we are ideal for an idyllic break in Somerset.

Our beautifully modernised cottage offers cosy and relaxing accommodation in a tranquil location. The cottage is tastefully furnished and offers elegant period features.

Inside the cottage is a delightful beamed sitting room with an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, TV/DVD player, radio/CD player and window seat which enjoys views over Castle Street. Rustle up some tasty food in the well-equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven. microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, tumble-drier and iron. Savour some home-cooked meals in the dining which seats 4 to 6 and offers lovely views of the back garden.

Upstairs there is a double room and a twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. All linen is provided but no towels.

Outside there is a sunny and sheltered garden with a patio table and chairs, plus 2 sun loungers. This is a lovely area to unwind with a glass of wine whilst admiring your surroundings. You can also relax with a morning coffee on the wooden bench, reach via 3 steps to an area of grass and shrubs.

The quaint village of Nether Stowey is a picturesque place to explore, home to medieval buildings and Stowey Castle. From the castle you can also enjoy amazing views over the Quantocks to the Mendips, to the sea and over to Wales. You can visit the house of the poet Coleridge or enjoy some good food at one of the local pubs. Further attractions to visit include:
