Details
Brochs are ancient Iron Age roundhouses and The Brochs of Coigach bring that authentic experience into a modern setting. Located at the end of a remote cul-de-sac on a hillside, these brochs are surrounded by grazing deer and sheep. Externally, they retain a rugged, raw appearance, like uncut gems, while inside, they offer a luxurious, airy and light-filled retreat.
Gille Buidhe’s Broch is dog-friendly and provides a spacious, unique experience. It features three rooms and a vast open space with a kitchen, a dining recess with its own veranda and a panoramic sitting area. From here, guests can watch eagles soar, deer roam and dolphins ride the waves. This is the perfect spot for couples seeking plenty of room to relax and unwind.
To call the interior "unusual" would be an understatement. The walls are adorned with oil paintings by Scotland's renowned modern artist John Bellany and quirky display cabinets house fascinating finds. The space exudes artistic charm and an eclectic atmosphere.
The bathrooms are another highlight, each featuring its own sauna. Guests will sleep in ultimate comfort on super king-size mattresses used by luxury hotels like Gleneagles and Inverlochy Castle Hotel. And yes, underfloor heating runs throughout the broch for added comfort.
There is no television in Gille Buidhe’s Broch because nature itself is the entertainment. Instead of watching TV, you can observe soprano pipistrelle bats hunting midges at dusk right outside your window. However, with first-class WiFi, you'll stay connected and can easily share your experiences online.
