The Byres Holiday Cottage can be found on Selside Farm in North Yorkshire. We offer quality self-catering accommodation in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks. The village of Selside is a short drive from Settle. The Byres is a four-star delightfully converted semi-detached 18th Century traditional dales stone barn, offering superb accommodation surrounded by the beautiful countryside of a working hill farm.

The downstairs of the property consists of a spacious well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, iron and radio. T-towels and washing up liquid are included. Tea, coffee and milk are provided for your arrival. A tumble dryer is available for guests to use in a building outside where bikes can also be stored.

There is a comfortable lounge room with exposed beams, open coal fire, an alternative electric fire, Flat-screen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD player. A selection of DVD's, books and children’s toys is also provided. Perfect for relaxing after a hard day walking or sightseeing. The lounge room also has access to the rear patio garden.

The traditionally furnished dining room has a dining table with seating for 6 people, CD player with a selection of CDs and a sideboard stocked with a selection of books and board games. There is access from the dining room to a seating area to the side of the property.

The main entrance to the cottage is a large glass-fronted slate floored porch area, ideal for storing walking boots and equipment. A full stock of logs for the fire is provided.

The upstairs area consists of 3 good sized bedrooms, 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 twin, a shared bathroom, linen cupboard and landing area. All the bedrooms are furnished with pine furniture consisting of a bed, bedside cabinets with lamps, wardrobe, dressing table, chair and chest of drawers. All the beds are fully made upon your arrival. Electric storage heaters are in all the bedrooms and electric blankets for all beds are provided. There are exposed beams in all the bedrooms.

The Byres is set back from the main road in a courtyard setting next to Selside farmhouse (away from the farmyard). There is parking for 2 cars on a cobbled area next to the property. The outside area consists of a private secluded multi-level patio area with mature rockery garden which can be accessed from the lounge. The patio is ideal for relaxing with a good book or unwinding after a hard day. A good range of patio furniture is provided allowing for outdoor eating along with a charcoal BBQ and washing line.

There is another smaller sheltered patio seating area at the side of the cottage. Next to the parking area is a separate mature, walled, shrubbery garden with lawn, garden furniture and children’s swings.

Many tourist attractions are within easy reach of the cottage for day trips as well as many walks able to be started from the door.
