The Isle of Arran, often called "Scotland in Miniature," is a place that draws visitors back time and time again with its remarkable beauty and diverse landscapes. From dramatic coastlines to rugged northern mountains, Arran offers a stunning variety of scenery, all softened by a mild climate thanks to the Gulf Stream. It’s a haven for walkers and a dream destination for golfers, with endless opportunities to explore the outdoors. For those looking to stay, there are three charming self-catering cottages to choose from, offering a perfect base for discovering everything the Isle of Arran has to offer.
Eryb - Sleeps 3
Originally a byre used as a dairy and cattle shelter, Eryb has been beautifully converted into a charming cottage that features a unique Stone Circle Garden, showcased on UK Style's "Gardens Unplugged" makeover programme. All on one level with easy access throughout, the cottage includes a double bedroom, a single bedroom and can sleep three plus a baby, with a cot available on request. Bed linen is provided and the spacious, attractive lounge comes with a TV and DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area, along with a stunning bathroom featuring a separate shower cubicle, offer all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The cottage is fully electric, welcomes well-behaved pets by arrangement and offers sea views from the garden and driveway. WiFi is also available.
Barnstable - Sleeps 6
Barnstable offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views on the island, stretching from the Ayrshire Coast down past Ailsa Craig, across the mouth of Loch Ryan to Wigtownshire, over to Ireland & Sanda and then back up the Argyll Peninsula from the Mull of Kintyre. Remarkably, most of this stunning scenery can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sun lounge. The house sleeps six plus a baby, with bed linen provided and includes a double bedroom downstairs, two twin bedrooms upstairs and a smaller lumber room with space for a cot, available on request. Inside, you’ll find a sunny lounge with an open fire, a spacious sitting and dining room, a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a separate shower cubicle, as well as an upstairs shower room. The property is fully electric with the added warmth of an open fire, offers spectacular sea views, WiFi and welcomes well-behaved pets by arrangement.
Kilbride Cottage - Sleeps 4
Set in a peaceful location surrounded by idyllic countryside, Kilbride is a former farm cottage dating back to the late 1880s or 1890s. Lovingly renovated to a high standard while preserving its original character, the cottage features its own garden with stunning views, westward to the Argyll Peninsula and south to Ailsa Craig and beyond. All on one level, it includes a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining area, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The cosy lounge offers an open fire, perfect for cooler evenings or simply enjoying the flicker of flames. Ideal for pet owners, the cottage is just steps from a scenic forestry walk that crosses the island to Whiting Bay and Lamlash. Sleeping four plus a baby, with a cot available on request, it also includes bed linen, a tiled bathroom with shower over bath, a TV with DVD player and WiFi. The cottage is fully electric with the added charm of an open fire and well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
