Details

Lapwing Rise self catering is situated in Banavie, Fort William in Inverness-shire on a working croft, but enclosed within its own grounds, this bright and spacious bungalow enjoys wonderful views across the Caledonian Canal to the Aonach Mor ski slopes, Glen Nevis and Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK).

Located in a rural setting, with local shops nearby, Lapwing Rise is ideal for a family holiday. Fort William, the “Outdoor Capital of the Highlands”, is just three miles away and has a variety of excellent facilities.

The self catering accommodation sleeps 7 in four bedrooms (one double king size, two twins, and one single) and also includes a lounge with wood burning stove and Smart TV, dining room, kitchen, utility room, and two bathrooms, one with a walk in shower and the other with a bath and shower over the bath.

Outdoor activities in the area close to the self catering accommodation include ski-ing, hill walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing, fishing and golf. At Aonach Mor there is the all year round opportunity to take a trip on the gondola cable car to experience the panoramic views.

During the summer months the West Highland Steam train, as seen in the Harry Potter films, can be viewed from Lapwing Rise as it makes its way from Fort William to Mallaig.
