Cothill Barns in Turnastone, Herefordshire, provides self catering accommodation in two barns in a tranquil and peaceful setting. Our barns can be booked together to sleep up to 16 guests, making us the perfect holiday destination for groups of friends or family get togethers.

Our pet friendly 18th Century barns are stylishly furnished and thoughtfully converted to provide the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Cothill Barn

This sleeps between 8 to 10 guests and has been beautifully furnished with antique pine furniture, quirky finds and handmade furnishings. There are 5 bedrooms: 2 with king size beds, 1 twin, 1 double and 1 snug/children’s room with double sofa bed. All are en suite and include a TV. We also have a galleried landing and balcony which is a great spot for enjoying the views over the valley. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with an array of facilities: 4 oven range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of cooking utensils, glasses, crockery and cutlery. We also have a cosy sitting room with wood burner and comfy sofas. Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden with a fire pit to keep you as warm as possible late into the evening! There’s also a hammock, rope swing, small orchard and lots of places to sit and take in the stunning views. Plenty of parking is available.

The Stable

This is the ideal place to bring your dogs and pets and offers luxurious accommodation in a character driven property with added pieces of antique furniture and vintage finds to create a tranquil feel. The barn sleeps 4 to 6 people across 2 comfortable bedrooms. The king size room comes with a TV/DVD player and the twin comes with a stylish retro Roberts’ radio. Both bedrooms are en suite. The living room has comfy sofas, a super wood burner, TV/DVD player, radio/CD player/iPod dock and a second dining area with stunning countryside views. The fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room comes with all the appliances needed to create culinary delights for friends or family. There’s a state of the art oven/microwave/grill and a full size single oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery & glasses. Outside is a lovely enclosed garden with breath taking views into the valley and across to the Black Mountains. In the rustic garden shed you'll find extra garden chairs and a small garden firepit, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.

The traditional Shepherd’s Hut, nestled between two ancient oaks in the garden, has been beautifully handcrafted to our specifications by skilled local craftsmen. Measuring 6’3” x 12’, it features an oak floor and a fitted double bed that converts into a comfortable sofa during the day. While the hut's high levels of sheep’s wool insulation ensure it stays warm and cosy, we’ve added a charming little wood-burning stove, perfect for toasting or brewing a cup of tea. Located just a few steps from the main accommodation, the hut is exclusively available to guests staying in The Stable.

Located just across the yard, the Granary Games Room is shared by both properties and offers endless entertainment with ping pong, pool, darts, table football and other bar games. It's a fantastic spot for both children and adults, with lively ping pong battles often lasting well into the evening!
