Dolgamedd is a quiet, laid-back, family run caravan and camping site on the banks of the River Wnion, near Dolgellau in Parc Eryri/Snowdonia National Park. Our family run park is surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers, perfect for a peaceful getaway. We are ideal for people who want to enjoy nature and experience lots of great activities in the local area. Both the coast and Coed Y Brenin, the mountain bike mecca are a mere 10 miles from us.

Campers come back year after year and we’ve had rave reviews.

Do not expect a swimming pool, bar or shop. We prefer to keep things natural – the river is not heated, but it’s great fun, and we believe in supporting the local economy, so please do your shopping at the lovely shops in Dolgellau or Bala.

The site is perfect for those who want to relax, enjoy nature at its best and take part in the many outdoor activities available in the area.

If you just want to party all night, please look for a more suitable campsite. No stag/hen parties, sorry, and loud music is not allowed. If your neighbours can hear it, it’s too loud. Mature, well behaved groups are welcome, but by pre-arrangement only.

We are a dog-friendly campsite – as long as the dogs (maximum of 2 per family) are kept on leads at all times.

Dolgamedd is the perfect campsite for relaxing beside the river with a campfire and a glass of wine.
