Our cottage is great for honeymoons, celebrations and family breaks. The cottage is surrounded by glorious countryside, the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

The tastefully furnished cottage comes with 3 beautiful en suite bedrooms, all decorated in a unique theme: African, Florentine and Scottish. All rooms have comfortable chairs and a TV, great for catching your favourite show after a day sightseeing.

A well-equipped, luxurious kitchen includes a range of appliances: cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. You can relax and unwind in the comfy sitting/dining room, with French windows offering a splendid view of the orchard. A gas barbecue can be used in the orchard or courtyard on request.

We also offer a delicious dinner and breakfast in our dining room which is in the main house. We use superb quality home-produced organic lamb, pheasant, venison, Royal game sausages, patés and more from our Country Larder shop. This is a great way for you and your guests to enjoy a special occasion.

Castle Douglas is an 18th Century market town which offers something for everyone. Beside Castle Douglas is Carlingwark Loch, a beautiful space for boating, picnicking and gentle strolls. Threave Castle is a must for history fans and 20 minutes away is The Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest. This is ideal for families, with lots of good walking and cycling routes to enjoy.
