Green View Lodges is a small, family-run lodge park offering a warm and welcoming retreat with four self-catering lodges and one self-catering cottage. All of our accommodation is pet-friendly, ensuring that furry family members are just as welcome as their owners. Situated in the peaceful rural village of Welton, we are ideally situated just four miles north of the Lake District National Park, nine miles from Carlisle and 16 miles from Penrith, making us the perfect base for exploring the region.

Our lodges provide comfortable, ground-floor-only accommodation, making them easily accessible for all guests. The smallest lodge sleeps up to four people, while our larger lodges can accommodate six to seven guests, making them ideal for family getaways. For couples or smaller groups looking for a cosy escape, our charming cottage, which is split over two floors, sleeps between two and four people.

Carrock Lodge - Sleeps 4

Carrock Lodge features two bedrooms - a double with a washbasin unit and a twin, both with TVs. The separate bathroom includes an electric shower over the bath, a WC and a washbasin. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area are fully equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, built-in oven, microwave and washer/dryer. A southwest-facing raised timber deck with outdoor furniture and a garden area provide a perfect spot to relax. The lounge has a Smart TV and all linen & towels are included.

High Pike & Warnell Lodges - Both sleep 7

High Pike and Warnell Lodges each have three bedrooms - two doubles and a third with a zip-and-link bed that can be set up as a super-king or two singles, plus an additional single bed. All bedrooms include a TV. There are two bathrooms: a main bathroom with an electric shower over the bath, WC and washbasin and a separate shower room with a WC and washbasin. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area are fully equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge freezer, built-in oven, hob, microwave and washer/dryer. At the rear, a southwest-facing raised timber deck with outdoor furniture provides the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine, with grass areas available for guest use. The lounge features a Smart TV and all linen & towels are included.

Skiddaw - Sleeps 6

Skiddaw Lodge has three bedrooms: a master with a double bed and en-suite shower room, a second with a zip-and-link bed that can be a super-king or two singles and a twin room with two single beds. Each bedroom includes a TV. There is also a separate bathroom with an electric shower over the bath, WC and washbasin. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area are fully equipped with modern appliances, including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, built-in oven, hob, microwave and washer/dryer. French doors at the rear open onto a southwest-facing raised timber deck with outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying the sunshine, with grass areas available for guest use.

The Hayloft - Sleeps 4

The Hayloft is a charming one-bedroom cottage with a private outdoor hot tub under a gazebo in its southwest-facing garden. Ideal for couples, it features a king-size bed upstairs and can accommodate up to four adults using the downstairs double sofa bed. The upstairs bathroom includes an electric shower over the bath, WC and washbasin. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area are fully equipped with a fridge freezer, built-in oven/hob, microwave and washing machine. The lounge and bedroom both have a Smart TV. Centrally heated and double-glazed, the cottage also boasts an enclosed garden with outdoor seating, a barbecue and a grass area perfect for dogs. Parking for two cars is available outside.

The park offers plenty of outdoor space for barbecues, relaxation and taking in the beautiful sunsets. Guests can also enjoy our leisure suite, which features a six-person hot tub and a three-person sauna, an ideal way to unwind after a day of exploring the local countryside.

Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, water sports, quad-biking, shopping, cultural experiences, historical adventures, or getting close to nature and wildlife, there is something for everyone. For those visiting with four-legged companions, we are just a 15-minute walk from the river and the Cumbria Way, offering plenty of scenic routes for both long and short walks, some of which may even lead to a welcoming country pub. Additionally, we have a fully enclosed dog exercise area onsite, allowing dogs to run and play off-lead in a safe and secure environment.
