Silver How offers superb self catering accommodation in the town of Ambleside. Our 18th Century stone cottage in Cumbria is nestled down a peaceful residential street and less than 200 metres from the centre of town.
Our period cottage sleeps up to 5 people and is finished to a high standard. Downstairs there is a living/dining room with a flat-screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, books and an electric fire. The dining table seats up to 6 people.
We have a fully equipped kitchen which comes with a range of appliances, plus utensils, plates and glasses. Stairs from the kitchen lead to a dry cellar with a freezer, tumble dryer, wall-mounted fire and a table tennis table.
Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms. The master room has a king bed and a TV. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom has bunk beds that can sleep 1 adult or 2 children/teenagers. Both the master and twin rooms enjoy views toward Heron Pike. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and there is a WC with a handbasin.
Outside we have a small courtyard garden with a table and chairs for al fresco dining.
The town centre is just a short walk from us, home to cafes, shops and pubs. Visit the shores of Windermere to take a relaxing ferry trip or head to Stock Ghyll Force, just a 10-minute walk away. Attractions to visit include:
Kendal Museum.
Bridge House.
Rydal Mount and Gardens.
Loughrigg Fell.
National Trust - Wray.
