Howbeck Lodge offers charming glamping accommodation and touring pitches on the outskirts of the village of Hesket Newmarket. Our family-run set is nestled on a working farm near Wigton, perfect for an idyllic retreat in Cumbria.

Our site offers fabulous countryside views, great for families and couples. All our pitches are fully serviced and hardstanding. A short stroll from the pitches is the toilet and shower block. We offer free Wi-Fi and chemical disposal.

We also have luxury Feather Down farm glamping tents to stay in. The tents offer hotel-style accommodation and modern comforts for up to 6 people. Children can discover all that the farm has to offer and can pick up freshly laid eggs for breakfast.

The tents offer countryside views and rustic-style accommodation. All the tents come with a sitting and dining area, log burning stove, sofa, a fully equipped kitchen and quality bedrooms. Facilities include mattresses, pillows and duvets. Children will love sleeping in the cupboard bed.

Outside each tent, there is a private terrace, offering a great spot for a glass of wine in the evening sun.

Our site offers good access to the local lakes and we are the perfect place to stay for cyclists and walkers on the C2C routes. Around 30 miles east of us are Whitehaven & Workington. In Hesket Newmarket there is a pub called The Old Crown that has a brewery. The village also has a village shop and post office. Attractions to visit include:
