An Diank Meur (The Great Escape) offers charming self catering accommodation in Porthleven. Our gorgeous 150-year-old Cornish fishermen’s cottage is only a few hundred meters from Porthleven Harbour, perfect for a relaxing coastal break.

Our wonderful cottage is brimming with character and original features, whilst offering relaxing and comfortable accommodation. Throughout the property, there is an array of exposed beams, and the lounge comes with a toasty wood burner in the feature granite fireplace.

The three bedrooms are on the ground and first floor, which will sleep up to five guests - children only in the bunk beds (age 4-15 years recommended). A double bedroom is on the ground floor and a master bedroom with a double bed is on the first floor. Bedroom 3 is also on the first floor and has bunk beds.

The lower floor is accessed via the original 19th Century low staircase and home to the fully equipped kitchen. You can cook up a storm with a range of appliances and a dishwasher and washing machine are also provided. There is also a utility room with a bathroom with a double shower.

Facilities include a smart TV with Freeview, a DVD player and a Bluetooth music system. Ideal for keeping the whole family entertained after a day of sightseeing.

Outside there is a small patio with a table and chairs, great for a morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine.

Porthleven is a picturesque coastal town that offers glorious coastal scenery. In town, there are lots of bar, restaurants and shops. The beautiful beach is dog friendly and you can also walk the coastal path. Brilliant attractions to visit include:
