Beacon Cottage Farm is a traditional Cornish family farm spanning approximately 650 acres. The farm operates as a mixed beef and arable farm, home to a herd of cows and calves, as well as sheep and chickens. The farm is located in stunning countryside just a few hundred yards from the sea, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Heritage Coast. The area was awarded Dark Skies Status in 2014, highlighting its excellent conditions for stargazing. We are only a short walk from the Southwest Coast Path.
We offer two self-catering stone holiday cottages, both meticulously built and equipped to the highest standards, graded 4 stars by Visit England and awarded the Visit England Gold Award. Each cottage features private parking and is accessed through its own secure garden with picnic tables and garden benches.
Both cottages are equipped with full central heating and radiators in every room, with all heating and electricity costs included in the rental. Additionally, each cottage includes a wood burner for extra warmth and cosiness during winter. The lounges are cosy and well-appointed with TV, DVD player, music centre and traditional inglenook fireplaces. The kitchens are fully fitted with solid wood cabinetry and dining areas, featuring electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washer-dryer. The bathrooms are tastefully tiled and equipped with a bath, power shower, heated towel rail, WC and wash basin. Each cottage accommodates up to 4 guests with 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, all with provided bed linen and beds made up for arrival. Cots and high chairs are available in each cottage, catering to families with young children. Free WiFi is accessible in both cottages.
Croft Cottage features bedrooms upstairs, with the double bedroom offering an ensuite toilet and wash basin, while the twin bedroom has a wash basin. Bramble Cottage is a single-storey accommodation, making it accessible for guests with restricted mobility and avoiding the need for stairs.
Every season has something different to offer - in spring and summer the walls and hedges are a mass of wild flowers while in autumn and winter months the gorse and heather form a carpet of colour on the hillside. St Agnes is an ideal centre for touring Cornwall with the beautiful cathedral city of Truro, our main shopping centre, just 10 miles away and the Eden Project, Maritime Museum and Tate Gallery within easy reach.
