The St. Mawes Hotel is located on the tip of the Roseland Peninsula which is renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty in St. Mawes, Cornwall. All 7 of our luxury guest rooms at The St. Mawes Hotel are simple and stylish with en suite bathrooms and top of the range super king size beds and 2 of which are dog friendly.

Our two dog friendly guest rooms are at the rear of the hotel and offer limited views of the village but are spacious with a king sized bed that can be made up as a twin or double and have excellent en suite facilities including bath and shower. For your arrival, we’ll prepare your room with a dog bed and towel, a welcome Bonio, bowl for water and maps of local walks with information on dog friendly beaches.

The hub of the St Mawes Hotel is our ground floor bar which also welcomes well behaved dogs and in the summer, opens out onto the bustling street making this the ideal spot for a cappuccino or a pint of something Cornish. It’s a great place to watch the world go by and talk to the locals while trying one of our Whole Crab Salads or a bowl of Moule Marinier.

St. Mawes is undoubtedly one of the jewels of Cornwall and of the Cornish coast and is well known as one of the most idyllic harbour and fishing villages within Cornwall and the UK. St Mawes has two town beaches that are revealed as the tide retreats with sheltered spots for bathing with south facing aspects for those wishing to work on their Cornish tan.

There are many coastal walks and trips to the gardens such as Trelissick, Trebah or even the lost gardens of Heligan. The famous Eden Project is just a 25 minute drive from the hotel and is well worth a visit, as is the National Maritime Museum which is a short ferry ride away in Falmouth.
