The Commodore Guest House - Self Catering Suites offers self catering accommodation just a 3-minute walk from Rothesay and the thriving town centre. We are based on the Isle of Bute and in the perfect location for exploring the area.

We have two pet friendly suites available, Ettrick and Scalpsie. Both are finished to a high standard and enjoy views over Rothesay Bay and the rolling hills of the Cowal peninsula.

Ettrick Suite

This first-floor suite offers a spacious living room with a sofa bed, a bay window and beautiful sea views. It includes a separate family bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed, as well as a bathroom with a bathtub, shower and complimentary toiletries. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and kitchenware, with an air fryer available on request. The suite also features a tea and coffee maker, a flat-screen TV, is pet-friendly and provides a comfortable space for families to relax and enjoy the coastal scenery.

Scalpsie Suite

This suite features a comfortable living room with a sofa bed and sea views, a separate family bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bed and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster and kitchenware, with an air fryer available on request. Additional amenities include a tea and coffee maker, flat-screen TV, sea views and pet-friendly accommodation, making it an ideal choice for families and those travelling with dogs.

Rothesay is the main town on the Isle of Bute, offering a Victorian frontage, esplanade gardens, the Isle of Bute Discovery Centre, Rothesay Castle and Bute Museum.
