Melfort Pier & Harbour has a selection of high quality, self contained holiday homes that are located around our own private harbour on Loch Melfort, near Oban in Argyll. Our pet friendly holiday homes are a great base from which to explore the surrounding Highland area and are a great place for couples, families and friends who are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable break away.

Our wonderful properties are in a unique location. They surround a private harbour and are sheltered by the hills of Melfort to the North. Each property is to a Scandinavian design, fresh, uncluttered, with all home from home comforts, with a few extras - comfortable leather suites, underfloor heating, digital TV, iPod, CD player, free Wi-Fi, dishwasher, microwave, laundry facilities. Some have a log fire, perfect for winter evenings. All the beds are made up and your towels are ready for use. All holiday homes have en suite bathrooms. The opulence of having your very own personal sauna and spa bath allows the ultimate in relaxation and privacy.

Outside of the holiday homes is either a large garden or a balcony, providing a space for you to sit and relax at any point during the day, whether it is with a coffee at breakfast, a lunch time BBQ or something stronger at the end of the day exploring the area.

Guests who stay with us will love our unique location, actually on the shores of Loch Melfort, protected on the seaward side by uninhabited islands and sheltered by the hills of Melfort to the North. This makes us ideal for those who enjoy being on the water, enjoying water sports or exploring the surrounding stunning countryside. Some people come to Melfort to do nothing more strenuous than look at the view, climb into the spa bath, potter over to the balcony, feed the birds, read a book or fall asleep.

Others find their pleasures getting out and about, walking, swimming, sailing, fishing, painting, taking photos, bird watching or going further afield and enjoying the spectacular countryside and exciting activities on offer in the Oban and Lorn area.

There is an amazing variety of wildlife on land as well on and under the sea. We are in the ancient Kingdom of Argyll, on the West Coast of Scotland. Just 16 miles south of Oban, which is the "Gateway" to the Scottish islands, like Mull, Barra, Tiree and many more islands.
