Forglen Estate offers fabulous self catering accommodation near Turriff, based in a glorious setting. Our properties in Aberdeenshire are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

We have 6 fabulous properties, available, sleeping 6 – 8 people. All the properties are beautifully furnished and come with everything you need for a country escape. The estate offers glorious woodlands, gardens, and access to the river Deveron, plus lots of stunning wildlife.

Forglen Lodge:

This unique cottage was once the residence of the Estate Gate Keeper and now offers quality accommodation. On the ground floor is a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, plus a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Unwind in the large lounge that comes with FreeSat TV. The ground floor had a double bedroom and on the first floor there is a double and twin, plus an upstairs WC.

Smiddy Cottage:

Our biggest cottage is nestled by the stream that runs alongside a series of small unfenced ponds On the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge with and open fireplace, a king room, a twin room and WC. Upstairs there is a double, twin and bathroom.

Ivy Cottage:

This charming cottage is close to the Fishing Beat and surrounded by glorious fields. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a bathroom. Unwind in the lounge and a ground floor double room is also available. Upstairs there are two twin rooms.

Garden Cottage:

Our delightful cottage sits alongside the gorgeous gardens. On the ground floor is a kitchen, lounge and dining area, plus a spacious a master bedroom and family bathroom. Upstairs there is a twin and double room, plus a shower/WC.

Crossbrae Croft:

This cosy cottage is great for a tranquil country escape. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom, a modern kitchen and a dining area for 6. The first floor has a twin and king room. To the side of the kitchen is a large family bathroom and large lounge with comfy seating. A second staircase from the lounge leads to a double room and cloakroom. Outside there is a small fenced area with seating for al fresco dining.

Garden Bothy:

Our wonderful cottage sleeps 2, great for a romantic getaway. Inside there is an open plan living area, including a modern kitchen/dining, plus a large shower and bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. The bedroom also has a freestanding bath to soak your trouble away in.

The local area has so much to offer with golf, distilleries, castles and a spectacular coastline. We are also just 40 minutes from Aberdeen International Airport, offering a central location to thoroughly explore NE Scotland with countless destinations reachable on a day trip.

The golfing enthusiast will be spoilt for choice, with a fantastic selection of courses all within a short driving distance of the Estate. Within a 20 minute drive you can sample both links and parkland courses, Duff House Royal, Royal Tarlair, Turriff, Cullen and Buckpool (35 mins) will provide a great challenge for all.
