The Great Grubb in Totnes offers B&B accommodation for guests and their dogs. Here at The Great Grubb Bed we aim to do our best to ensure that your stay with us is comfortable and enjoyable. Our dog friendly guest house is situated within the beautiful Elizabethan market town of Totnes, Devon known for its historically rich and artistic community.

Llwyn Derw is a Grade 2 listed Arts and Craft period house which is well preserved with good interior features, tastefully refurbished with modern facilities.
The features include an impressive oak stair well hall and an unusual fireplace with panelled back and copper art nouveau details in the breakfast room.
It is situated approximately half a mile (1 kilometre) from the busy harbour town of Porthmadog which boasts over thirty eating establishments.
The house is detached and situated amongst mature oak trees with woodland walks leading to a wooden chalet and panoramic views of the sea , Harlech castle and the Rhinogydd mountains.
There is a gravelled parking area for three cars and safe parking on the lane leading to the house.

Our cottages have been carefully converted from Hamilton House’s characterful outbuildings into stylish and spacious holiday cottages with more than a hint of luxury.
Rosa Cottage is our smaller cottage and is suitable for a party of up to four people however there is an additional pull out sofa bed in the living room for the occasional additional visitor.
The cottage has a spacious open plan layout. From the living room, French doors lead onto the garden via a decked patio. Also off the living room there is a modern, well equipped kitchen and a downstairs toilet/shower room.
On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one king size double and one twin. The upper floor also has the main bathroom with bath and another shower.
For your entertainment Rosa Cottage has Satellite TV with DVD and a mini Hifi and CD player. The cottage also has wifi internet access.

Olive House is a large detached house in the centre of the village, opposite the bakery and butchers, on flat terrain about one mile from the beach and golf club.
It has a secluded flat enclosed garden with oversize garden furniture, shady tree, patio and pond.
It has a semicircular in-out drive with parking for four car without blocking eachother in. It also has a separate side drive to the owner/staff cottage, behind the main house with its own separate garden.
It has six bedrooms, three doubles, two bunks and a twin. All the doubles have their own ensuite shower/wc/basin. The remaining bedrooms have individual basins, and in addition there is a family bathroom. One of the double bedrooms is downstairs, useful for grandparents who would prefer not to use the main stairs…. However there are two steps to this part of the house also.

Hillside House, Lynmouth, Nr Lynton, Devon
HILLSIDE House is a beautiful building dating from the 1790s, though parts of it are much older. According to local tradition it was once a dairy, and the oldest part may date from as early as the 1400s. It is listed (Grade II) as a building of historical interest. The building has been used as a bed and breakfast since the 1940s.
It was home to Thomas Geen a mason and sea merchant from 1833 to 1863. He led the revolt against harbour tolls imposed by the Lord of the Manor. His son Charles was born here in 1840. Charles was the founder of the Electric Light Company in 1890. Artist and headmaster of the Barnstaple School of Art, Theodore Charbonnier lived here with his family from 1899-1920. The building has been used as a bed and breakfast since the 1940s.
