Mocktree Barns are an ideal base for exploring the delightful countryside of South Shropshire, Herefordshire and mid-Wales, one of the few ‘Tranquil Areas’ left in England.
Located close to the historic town of Ludlow, we offer self-catering accommodation in five comfortable and well-equipped holiday cottages.
Less mobile guests are well provided for and we have been inspected and awarded National Accessible Scheme level 1.
Mocktree Barns date from the 16th century and were once a set of farm buildings. They were converted to provide five distinct and individual cottages situated around a south-facing courtyard with further garden and grass areas for visitors to enjoy.
The owners, Clive and Cynthia Prior and their family, live in the adjacent house which was once the threshing barn.

Side Farm campsite is located in Patterdale and lies on the south-eastern corner of Ullswater. The camp site and working farm are at the foot of the majestic Place Fell, and have magnificent views across and up the Grisedale valley towards the Helvellyn range, one of the most popular in the Lake District.
The campsite caters for tents and small and medium sized camper vans. Side Farm welcomes families, children and dogs, but unfortunately not single sex or large groups. Please note no fires are permitted but barbecues are allowed if raised off ground.

Throwley Hall Farm is a Georgian built farmhouse conveniently situated in the quiet countryside near to the beautiful Manifold Valley and Dovedale. Superb scenery and walking country are right on the doorstep, and attractions such as Alton Towers are a short journey away.
The farm stands on a spur overlooking the Manifold Valley. This is one of the most famous rivers of the Peak District and carves a spectacular deep valley with numerous rocky crags, a sight which is matched locally only by Dovedale - just a few miles away.

Ferniehirst Mill Lodge was built in 1980. Its modern design gives all the amenities required for your comfort whilst blending with the existing mill buildings and stables.
The Lodge is 2.5 miles south of Jedburgh, situated in a secluded valley beside the Jed Water in its own 25 acres of land. It is a haven for bird life.
