The Lagg Hotel, Kilmory, Isle of Arran, Ayrshire
Lagg is one of the oldest hotels on the island. The hotel was built in 1791 and was used as a coaching inn with a few bedrooms on the first floor.
It appears that Lagg remained largely unchanged until the 1950s and 1960s when the Crook family extended to the back of the hotel, thereby creating the kitchen, our large dining room and majority of bedrooms.
There are thirteen bedrooms at Lagg, including two family rooms, two single rooms and one four poster room.
All have en suite bathrooms and each is equipped with a television, tea tray and hairdryer.
All our bedrooms are on the first floor and most overlook the well-kept gardens to the front and side of the hotel.
Guests can dine in style with relaxed informality in The Restaurant, as they look out over the river and gardens.
Our chefs serve a selection of well cooked dishes ranging from pub classics such as Fresh…
