Ald White Craig Holiday Cottages offers superb self catering accommodation in Haltwhistle, based in a gorgeous area of Northumberland. We are perfectly located for enjoying lots of picturesque walking routes and are close to lots of excellent attractions such as Vindalanda, The Sill, House Steads, Birdsoswold and the Roman Army Museum.

We have an array of tastefully furnished cottages available, based in a tranquil countryside setting. All the cottages are well-equipped and come with everything you need for a relaxing break in the country.

The Coach House: This charming property is one of the larger family cottages and easily sleeps 5 people in 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room and a small room with a single bed. A fully equipped kitchen includes a washer and dishwasher and the cottage boats stunning valley views. Outside there is a large patio area to the front and side, great for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.

Smithy: Our wonderful cottage is brimming with rustic charm, offering lovely, beamed ceilings and a large arched window. The cottage has a double bedroom, with a bathroom allowing for a bath or shower. The cottage also has a well-equipped kitchen and enjoys amazing valley views.

Shepherds Heft: This is the largest of the cottages and easily sleeps six people. The fully equipped kitchen makes shepherds an ideal cottage for family living. Outside there is a delightful patio area for al fresco dining whilst savouring the glorious surroundings.

Wrens Nest: This is the smallest of the cottages, quaint and comfy, ideal for one-night stays. The kitchen is well-equipped and the cottage benefits from a recently refurbished bathroom. A gorgeous decking area is ideal for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the fantastic view.

You are welcome to come and help feed our chickens and ducks. You can also see the goats and horses and on request, you can help groom the horses.

We are situated only 3/4 of a mile from the center of Haltwhistle and 1/2 a mile from Hadrians Wall itself. Haltwhistle is home to quirky shops, great restaurants and amazing woodland. The town is also home to Haltwhistle, Further attractions to visit include:
