Numbers 3 and 4 Canalside are millworker's cottages built about 160 years ago in the centre of the picturesque canal village of Stoke Bruerne. They stand in an unrivalled position overlooking the Grand Union Canal and the locks.

No traffic will pass your door other than colourful narrowboats on their way up and down the flight of seven locks. You can choose to enjoy the peace and quiet of this unique waterway location, explore its historic canal heritage, take a boat trip or just be absorbed by the comings and goings of this bustling canal community.

Number 3 Canalside provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people in a property of enormous character over four levels with views of the canal from both bedrooms and the living room.

The living room at canal level is furnished with settee and armchairs round the open fire (some wood and coal provided) for those cosy evenings.

A small winding staircase leads down to the basement which has been converted into a good size fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a vaulted ceiling.

On the first floor is the second bedroom with two single beds and a wardrobe. Adjacent is the bathroom with WC, washbasin and bath with electric shower.

Up one more small staircase and you reach the main bedroom with twin beds, chest of drawers and built in wardrobes.

Bed linen (except cot), tea towels and electricity are included in the rates. Please bring your own hand and bath towels. Heating throughout the property is by slimline electric storage radiators.

Number 4 Canalside provides comfortable accommodation for 2 people in a property of enormous character over three levels.

The farmhouse style kitchen is situated at towpath level and is fully equipped to a high standard with a range style electric cooker.

A small winding staircase leads to the living room on the first floor. Furnished with a small settee and two armchairs.

The shower room is off the living room with a power shower, washbasin and WC.

Up a further staircase is the bedroom with exposed roof beams.

In the basement is a washing machine and tumble drier for visitors' use.

All rooms, except the shower room, have views over the canal.

Stoke Bruerne is a picturesque Northamptonshire village which lies on the Grand Union Canal with its charming stone cottages facing the canal just as the houses in most villages would face the street.

A few minutes walk away from the centre of the village is Rookery Open Farm where families can have close contact with large variety of animals and learn about farming. There are also climb-on tractors, mini-go-karting and bouncy castles for the younger children.
