Our charming inn has a range of comfortable and relaxing rooms to choose from. All the rooms enjoy an original character, offering oak beams, exposed brickwork and sash windows. They are generously sized and provide a country chic style to complement the rural setting. In some of our rooms we are able to add an additional folding bed appropriate for children.

Cask conditional hand-pulled ales from Theakstons and Black Sheep, a comprehensive range of premium lagers and spirits. Also, being a free house, we can offer a seasonal selection of ales, lagers and bottled spirit mixers.

The atmosphere and character of the bar can go from one extreme to the other with quiet winter afternoons in front of the open fires contrasted with one of our many live entertainment nights hosted throughout the year at the Black Bull Bar. What we can guarantee you is a warm welcome, fines ales, good food and a great time!

We have plenty of room around the bar and away from it for quieter moments or time with the family. A Pool table, Darts Board and Juke Box are on hand to entertain you. Children and Dogs are welcome in the bar (under control both children and dogs!).

Visit the historic castles of Richmond, Castle Bolton and Jervaulx Abbey. Travel west over Tail Brigg to the market town of Kirkby Stephen, south over the Buttertubs Pass to Hawes or north over Stang to Barnard Castle.
