Pavilion Cottage is a quintessentially English property situated in lush parkland not far from York city centre. As the name suggests, the cottage is a converted cricket pavilion, beautifully renovated and retaining all its original charm and character. Pavilion Cottage sits on the boundaries of an active cricket club allowing you to soak up the atmosphere of this great game, listening to the whack of leather on willow, while sipping a glass of chilled Pimm\'s and lemonade.

York is a beautiful historic city that offers an eclectic blend of the ancient, the old and the new. It is difficult to do justice to the city\'s place in history in such a small space, click here for a good overview of York\'s history. York\'s most famous landmark is York Minster whose beautiful choirs can be heard on an almost nightly basis at Evensong (entry free). A great outing for children and those interested in York\'s Vikings the Jorvik Centre is a must. Original Tudor architecture can be seen all around York, but most particularly in The Shambles. Much of the town was renovated by the great and good of the 17th and 18th centuries, resulting in many fine examples of Georgian architecture, not least Mansion House, the residence of the Mayor.
