Tyn-yr-Onnen is a pet friendly, family run camping and caravanning park situated on a 180 acre farm on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The site is only a short distance from Caernarfon, Gwynedd and it is great for those who love the outdoors and great scenery.

The campsite offers sheltered pitches, with hook ups if needed, recently refurbished toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower rooms and a utility room. There is a play area for children, television room and games room with table tennis and a pool table. There is plenty of space for BBQs; we even allow camp fires in one of our camping fields; after all we think that camp fires are an essential part of camping. There is also a glamping pod which is very well insulated and has heating and lighting, as well as two power points. Outside there is a barbecue, picnic table and a small fire pit for sensible and controlled camp fires. The campsite showers and toilet facilities are close by.

The podvan is a new concept and has 4 beds which you put up, plus a small chair bed for a child. The podvan has excellent views of the Elephant Mountain (Mynydd Mawr). It offers the same services as a pod but with additional facilities such as a toilet and wash basin. The fully fitted kitchen area has a fridge and gas hob, washing up basin and cupboards as well as pots, pans, and plates

Llyter Bygal is a two bedroom chalet, one room has a double bed, the other a single bed and a pull-out bed. Please bring your own bed linen. It has lounge diner, kitchen and bathroom with shower, central heating. There is a brilliant decking area with the best views on the farm across the Moel and Elephant Mountains, a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings.

The holiday home has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with one set of bunk beds suitable for children. Please bring your own bed linen and towels.

From the farm there are 100’s of acres of heath land on your doorstep to explore, with many walks for beginners or the most adventurous can walk to the summit of Snowdon from the Farm, we will be happy to recommend some of our favourites.

It’s not all about mountains and walking, there are castles to explore in Caernafon, Bangor, Beaumaris and Harlech, beautiful beaches of the Llyn Peninsular and Anglesey. Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, has the famous train to the summit, Electric Mountain, LLanberis Slate museum, Lakes, Rope Adventures, Diving, and outdoor adventures from kayaking to coast steering.
