Offering countryside accommodation with first-class dining facilities and three tree-clad lakes, The Watersmeet Hotel and Angling Centre just outside Gloucester is the ideal venue for both pleasure and business visitors.

Within easy access of Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester and the Severn Valley, Watersmeet has clean and comfortable country hotel accommodation, an 'olde worlde' timber-beamed bar with log fire in winter and a rear garden patio area in summer, and a restaurant with a menu and wine list to appeal to all tastes.

Its three pools - where the angling is reserved for residents - are well stocked with large carp and tench, making Watersmeet an ideal retreat for those wanting a relaxing break, either alone or with friends or family, at a venue where they can combine fishing with good food and drink.

Watersmeet is a family-run hotel with a long tradition of hospitality in stunning English surroundings.

If you are looking for somewhere informal and friendly to stay, whether for business, pleasure or whilst visiting nearby Cheltenham or Worcester Racecourses, this is definately the place for you.

Watersmeet Hotel and Angling Centre is a family-run business where Tom and Gail Ring enjoy and take great pride in what they do. The result is that you can relax and unwind in a country hotel with three of its own private fishing lakes yet be within easy reach of Gloucestershire's attractions.

Since taking over at Watersmeet from Tom's father, Tom and Gail have carried out a steady programme of improvements to the facilities and accommodation. Indded, in 2005 they will be opening a set of new luxury rooms which overlook the lakes and provide twin, double and family accommodation. All rooms are ensuite with tea and coffee making facilities plus TV.

This all makes Watersmeet the ideal choice for overnight business travellers, couples or families looking for a relaxing break which combines the best of all worlds - a real country inn, home-cooked food, three attractive private fishing lakes, cosy bar with roaring log fire in winter and a west-facing garden patio area where you can relax with a cool drink on sunny summer afternoons and evenings.

All rooms are contained within two buildings which overlook the garden and pools - indeed some are so close to the waterside that you could almost fish from your window no long treks to your swim, or for a beer!

Guests at the Watersmeet can enjoy a real English breakfast or go Continental if preferred, it's all included in the price.

It all goes to make Watersmeet the ideal place to stay.

The Watersmeet offers a choice of two bars, one of which stays open all day; a restaurant which serves lunches, evening meals and a hearty full English breakfast; and 20 rooms varying in size from singles through twins and doubles to family rooms.

It is a testimony to the traditional way the pub is run that both residents and locals feel equally at home at the Watersmeet, indeed some of the residents have visited the Watersmeet so often that they have become what Tom describes as "part-time locals".

Being only 10 minutes from the Cathedral Cities of Cheltenham and Gloucester, the relaxing countryside setting of the Watersmeet Hotel and Angling Centre make it an ideal place to stay for both business and pleasure.

The surrounding Cotswolds area has a wealth of delights for couples or families wanting a mid-week or weekend break whilst the breathtaking scenery and local places of historical interest make it a superb choice for business travellers.
