Herston Log Cabins and Holiday Lodges can be found on a family-run farm in the beautiful Dorset countryside. They offer luxurious self catering accommodation that is close to numerous beaches and the centre of Swanage. Our cabins and lodges are ideal for a self catering family or group holiday, rain or shine, summer or winter. The rustic wooden properties, equipped with hot tubs, make a welcome change from the usual holiday cottage or bed & breakfast. With full self catering facilities, heating, verandas and private outdoor spaces our luxury log cabins offer a holiday alongside nature with 4-star accommodation.

We have a selection of log cabins available all of which have their own hot tubs outside. They have been furnished to a high standard to ensure that a comfortable and enjoyable break is had by all. Luxury bedding and towels are provided; however, we ask guests to bring their own towels to use for the hot tub. We allow dogs by prior arrangement at £30 per week and £10 per mini-break.

On-site there are great facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. If you want to unwind with just a coffee or have a tailor-made cocktail, then our bar is the place for you. Friendly bar staff are there to cater to your every whim, nothing is too much trouble. Just sit back and relax in front of the log burning fire and sip your tipple of choice, knowing that your evening meal is being prepared by our experienced chefs, or watch the latest TV in High Definition from the comfort of a leather armchair. There is a large selection of lager and real ales for you to enjoy as well as known spirits and wines for the discerning palette. Don’t forget the kids, we have an extensive children’s menu and a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks available, not only that, immediately behind the bar is our children’s play park, including swings, slides and a ballpark. Watch the kids playing in comfort from our newly refurbished conservatory. We also have a show bar on site where most of our entertainment takes place. There is a dance floor, stage, custom sound and lighting system. We provide a variety of entertainment here throughout the season.

If you do forget anything then there is an on-site shop that carries most of the essentials you may need.

The site is very near to Herston Halt which is a stop on the famous Swanage steam railway. What better place to begin your adventure? From here steam trains travel through magnificent scenery on a restored railway line to charming Corfe Castle and Swanage town centre. The heritage coast is lined with spectacular geological features. Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Old Harry Rocks, the Fossil Forest and contorted 'crumple' of Stair Hole are dramatically picturesque, especially when viewed from a boat. The South West Coast Path follows the whole of Purbeck's coastline. Starting at Shell Bay the path runs alongside three miles of glorious sandy beaches en route to the pretty village of Studland. Just beyond here are the Old Harry Rocks at Handfast Point.
