The Byre Cottage offers pet friendly self catering accommodation in Newby near the market town of Penrith. We are tucked between the Lake District and the Pennines, making us a great base to explore a range of attractions in Cumbria.

Our beautiful cottage enjoys glorious views across the Eden Valley to Cross Fell. The living room has comfortable seating and a wood-burning stove, an ideal place to relax after a day sightseeing. The kitchen is fully equipped offering everything you will need to suit all your needs: a microwave oven, a Calor Gas cooker and a fridge.

The main bedroom has twin beds, the second bedroom has bunk beds and the third bedroom has bunk beds with an en suite shower room. The main bathroom has a bath, shower, WC and wash.

We also have a campsite available – please enquire for details.

There are a range of attractions in the area, including visiting the famous Hadrian's Wall. Many museums are nearby, including the award-winning Tullie House at Carlisle and Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle. Lots of superb attractions are in the local area:
