Welsh Hideaways, Cwmystwyth, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion
Please visit our website to find out more about our Welsh Hideaways. They are a pair of self- catering cottages located in a stunning part of Ceredigion at Cwmystwyth high in the hills inland from Aberystwyth. We believe that family holidays mean all the family, so we welcome two well-behaved dogs in each cottage. We are told that few self-catering holiday cottages offer such comfort, complete peace and a sense of retreat from our fast-paced world for those who love to escape.
We have 2 holiday homes available which can be rented together and opened internally into one spacious home:
Ty Mari: Sleeps 6 in a double and 2 twin rooms.
Penroc: Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room.
You can see every room and compare the cottages on www.welsh-hideaways.co.uk
Both cottages are cosy even in mid-Winter. Penroc has underfloor heating (loved by dogs); both cottages have a king size bed as well as comfy twin rooms – so after a long day of walking with the dogs, enjoying endless outdoor activities, you will be sure of a good night’s sleep. But before you turn in for the night, you can take full advantage of the wonderful views that mid-west Wales has to offer on the balcony of Penroc or from Ty Mari’s detached Garden Room, while enjoying a home cooked dinner or glass of wine on a summer’s evening. The international dark sky park is nearby so star-gazing is an unforgettable experience.
For those cold and dark nights, there are a range of options to keep you entertained as you enjoy the heat of the stove, including Sky TV, DVDs, audio system, internet and a good selection of games. Whether it’s a romantic countryside retreat or a large family/group walking holiday in Wales – the cottages cater for everyone (even your dog!). Use of a landline is included in the rental and there is no extra charge for pets.
These dog friendly holiday cottages in mid-west Wales are set on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in a breathtaking location, as seen in the ‘Hinterland’ TV series. For those looking for adventure and self-catering holidays in Wales there are endless beautiful walks for children, adults and dogs alike. A narrow gauge steam railway is nearby; swimming, dolphin spotting, Red Kite feeding and bird watching, mountain biking, fly fishing, horse riding and viewing historic mines are amongst the attractions local to the holiday cottages.
