Waunifor is a historic estate steeped in history that offers self catering and pet friendly accommodation in Maesycrugiau, Pencader. Waunifor’s six traditional and homely stone holiday cottages are full of character and unique features and are a real gem of Ceredigion.

Our cottages sleep from 2 to 10 people and can accommodate up to 36 in total so ideal for large families and groups. Children love exploring our safe grounds and play area and we welcome all well-behaved dogs.

Coach House Mews – sleeping up to 8 is an elegant and light mews style cottage with 5 bedrooms (3 twins and 2 singles). It has 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen diner and a cosy lounge with open fire.

Duckpond Holiday Cottage – Sleeping up to 2, is a charming holiday cottage with one double bedroom, a bathroom with bath and shower and open plan lounge/kitchen. A sofa bed can also be installed in the lounge.

Robin Holiday Cottage – Sleeps up to 4, is a delightful single-storey holiday cottage. There are 3 bedrooms - 1 twin room and 2 singles, a shower room and a cosy lounge with kitchen.

Stable Holiday Cottage – sleeping up to 6 is a homely character cottage with large lounge and wood burning stove, kitchen with dining area and three twin bedded rooms with a shower cubicle downstairs and upstairs bathroom.

Carriage Mews Holiday Cottage – Sleeping up to 6, is a lovely new build cottage, blending traditional features with contemporary style and features a large open plan lounge/kitchen with wood burning stove and huge feature window. There are three large bedrooms one with a double bed and two with 2 twin beds and a separate toilet and bathroom.

The Longhouse Holiday Cottage – sleeping up to 10, is a stunning listed building soaked in history and character and was a key part of the historical Waunifor estate. Being the larger of our cottages, it is very spacious and has 5 bedrooms with features such as a huge inglenook fireplace, wood burning stove, original oak beams and panelled dining area and has 2 bathrooms.

Waunifor is in the beautiful Teifi valley on the borders of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, close to Cardigan Bay. We are situated along a very quiet rural lane with plenty of lovely walks nearby and just one mile from the old pilgrim’s way which runs alongside the river Teifi. The area is popular with anglers, walkers, cyclists, bird-watchers and families as well as providing inspiration for artists, photographers and crafts people. Pony trekking is available on nearby Llanlwni Mountain and Brechfa forest provides some of the best mountain bike trails in the UK. The unspoilt beaches of Cardigan Bay (New Quay, Llangrannog, Tresaith, Aberporth) with the coastal path are just a 25 minute drive away and we are in easy reach of Pembrokeshire and the popular walking areas of the Preseli hills and the Brecon Beacons.
