Details

Tramway Cottages offers outstanding self catering accommodation in the charming village of Ellenabeich. Also known as Easdale, Ellenabeich is reached by crossing the famous 'Bridge over the Atlantic' to the Isle of Seil, Argyll, in the West Highlands of Scotland. We are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

Our two beautifully furnished cottages, Seashell and Rockpool, offer a luxurious escape in a tranquil location. They truly are ideal for the ultimate seaside retreat. Both cottages sleep up to 4 people and come with a small enclosed back garden, ideal for bringing your dog along.

The properties include a cosy living area with an open fireplace built from local slate. A free bucket of coal and kindling are included with an honesty box for additional supplies. After a long walk, you can unwind in front of the 42’’ smart TV with Freeview and a DVD player. A fully equipped kitchen comes with a fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and Nespresso machine.

The cottages come with 2 restful and comfortable bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and the smaller bedroom has 2ft 6 twin beds which can be zipped together to form another king. Both rooms share a wonderful bathroom with an electric shower over a spa bath. We provide a variety of indulgent toiletries, including the exclusive Prija range which is perfect for pampering.

The village is nestled beneath the rolling hills of Dunmor, right on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, and looks out to the Firth of Lorne and the Inner Hebrides. It is exceptionally picturesque and has been the setting for a number of films including, "Kidnapped", "Ring of Bright Water" and the BBC "Para Handy" series.

Fishing, bird watching, hill walking, sailing and diving are just a few of the activities which can be enjoyed in the local area. For golf enthusiasts, there is a nine-hole course just two miles from Ellenabeich. Further afield and a short drive away can be found some of Scotland’s unrivalled heritage. From magnificent castles, ancient fortresses and the prehistoric stone markers of Kilmartin Glen, a wealth of the area’s fascinating history awaits the traveller.
